The Samsung Galaxy S9+, also known by its secret moniker “Star” is a member of the Galaxy S Series and follows the Galaxy S8 and is an improved version of the Samsung Galaxy S9. The Samsung Galaxy S9+ was released on February 25th, 2018 at the Mobile World Congress hosted in Barcelona, Spain.

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ features “Intelligent Scan” a combined unlocking method that utilizes facial recognition and iris scanning, a dual-lens camera, and is offered in seven colors. An improvement from previous Samsung smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ has a relocated fingerprint scanner for easier access, ability to record 4K video, AR Emoji, similar to Apple’s Animoji, giving user’s the ability to create emoji’s that resemble themselves, improved physical durability.
