So many retired football stars have tried to replicate the level of success in the coaching arena, but none has achieved that like the former French football star Zinedine Zidane. Zidane was nicknamed Zizou, and played as attacking midfielder for the French national team, Real Madrid, Cannes, Bordeaux, and Juventus. Zidane was recognized for his ball control, vision, passing, and elegance, making him a three-time FIFA World Player of the Year and one time Ballon d’Or winner. Besides, he received the Legion d’honneur after scoring twice in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, making him a French hero. Zidane has won sixteen awards as a footballer and eleven as a manager with Real Madrid.
