Description

Bill Russell may be the most decorated former NBA player in basketball history. The former Boston Celtics player has a bronze statue in his honor in Boston and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom as a player and as a champion for human rights. He too has been admitted to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and FIBA Hall of Fame. Bill played the center position and bagged a gold medal in the Olympics, eleven NBA Championship, twelve All-Star awards, and five NBA MVP. In the field, Bill was recognized by his intelligence, sense of humor, and his man-to-man defense and shot-blocking tactics.
