Child's Pose, also known as Balasana, is a common yoga posture typically used many times throughout a practice. Child’s Pose is known to relieve tension in the back, neck, shoulders, hips, legs, feet, stretch the spine, and alleviate dizziness. Child’s Pose is commonly used during practice to rest between difficult postures. Child’s Pose is known to relieve stress and anxiety,  Energetically, Child’s Pose helps to calm the mind.

To perform Child’s Pose, from your hands and knees, rest your buttocks on your heals and bow and lengthen forward with your forehead coming to the floor. Extend your arms and press your palms down with your eyes closed and inward.
